The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Some patients have aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, or diarrhea. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Most people recover from the disease without needing special treatment. The current recommendation is to use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever and symptom control over Motrin (ibuprofen) when possible. Find appropriate medication dosing for your child here.
